- 5 After closing his private emergency room due to the lack of doctors willing to give up their provincial paycheque, Dr. Mark Godley has imported Canadian doctors practising overseas who are willing to slink home and scab it up.

- 5 Rogers Media is buying Victoria’s A Channel from CTV which CTV got when it bought the CityTV chain earlier in the year. This means that CTV, Global, and Rogers will have two stations each to devote to US simulcast programming.

- 5 Alliance Atlantis, a Global subsidiary, is feuding with the CRTC over CSI:NY. Alliance Atlantis co-produces the show for American television and also broadcasts it on their own History Channel in Canada. The CRTC says that CSI:NY is not a history programme and cannot be shown on the channel. The History Channel says CSI:NY is so because of 9/11. Shown three times per day, those who produce CSI:NY on History are doomed to repeat it.

- 1 Granville Street bars plan to share information and ban problem patrons from each other’s club. Violators will be tagged and transported back to their regular grazing areas in North Vancouver and Surrey.

+20 BC, with Ontario, tops the country in reported UFO sightings, contributing to the 736 reports this year. This explains BC’s population increase.
