- 20 Protest organizers at this past week’s Montebello summit are claiming that police disguised as protesters tried to incite violence by throwing rocks at other police... And it’s probably true. You can see for yourself! Here’s the video! The violent ‘“protesters,” who look like they robbed a black bandanna museum on their way to the Insane Clown Posse convention, were even wearing police issued boots, and, unlike all other violent protesters ever, didn’t get arrested. Hmmmmmm.

- 5 The Canadian Medical Association wants to ban smoking in all private vehicles to protect kids against second hand smoke. A slightly less drastic and definitely more reasonable suggestion? Ban all smokers from having children.

+3 Live Nation (the new name of House Of Blues Concerts) is planning to drop Ticketmaster and presumably sell the concert tickets themselves. Several places in Vancouver like GM Place and BC Place and the City have exclusive (exclusive!) contracts with TM. Is this the beginning of the end?

- 8 In unsurprising news, the DTES is getting hit worst by the strike. The silver lining to this raincloud? Maybe the homeless people will get so fed up that they leave.

+4 R. Kelly’s famous sex tape is going to be shown at his court hearing, with prosecutors claiming that his veiny… hands will be used to identify him as the man peeing on the girl.

- 1 Eleven extras injured on the set of Tom Cruise’s new film Valkyrie are threatening to sue because their injuries were treated with “inhuman indifference.” Here’s some free advice: If you want to be treated like a human, don’t get a job where you get paid to be a piece of furniture that only happens to have the ability to grow hair.

+9 In a move that is sending shivers through the porn community, Jenna Jameson has had her breast implants removed. What implications will this have on the day to day lives of non-porn-addicted-normal-folk? Well for one, you’ll never hear the name Jenna Jameson again in your life.
