Like Ida Nilsen needs anymore stalkers. I was at the Railway the other night and there was a whole legion of folks just a little too into it. They sat cross-legged on the floor with chins pointed towards her keyboard in dream-like wonder as she moved through a set made up of songs which appear on Great Aunt Ida’s newest release, How They Fly. So I feel like I should warn you before you go and listen to this thing. The 12 tracks meander through a guest list of musicians that have long since fallen under her spell. The songs are so spacious you just might get the impression that there’s room for you in all that loveliness. And maybe there is, but you’re not the only one that feels this way. Just don’t turn into a weirdo.
