The Berliner Ensemble’s Berlin production of Shakespeare’s Titus Andronicus had the audience rioting. In Vancouver, Mad Duck Equity Co-op Theatre go one step further and are taking out the audience. At the March 14 sell-out show, a patron tried to run out but fainted halfway to the door. Medical staff, it’s been announced, will be posted near the stage for every future show. Next they should install blood geysers in the floor and snapping Teeth-O-Rama devices in the seats of chairs.
