And the whatever of Christ

Holidays are awesome. The staff at American Apparel have to work a lot for the Christmas rush, so there’ll actually be room to dance at the club nights.

We’re not going to talk to you for over a month so I’m packing a lot in here. I’ll try to use as many different words for “play” as possible so you don’t zone out.

They Shoot Horses, Fond of Tigers, and Winning do stuff at the Anza Club December 15. Gay Beast comes all the way from Minnesota to fuck around with Pink Noise and No Feeling at Pat’s Pub on December 16. Also that night: Salon de Bourgeoisie hauls hipsters to the Royal Unicorn Cabaret for another Dandi Wind show.

And what better way to celebrate the whatever of Christ than to go to the Brickhouse on the 18th to see the Christmas Band, complete with an electrified lemon player.

The brilliant Hoko Japanese House (which is all-ages and serves holiday cheer–or at least big bottles of Sapporo) hosts Ghost House, Collapsing Opposites, Chris A Riffic and Russian Words on December 22.

Hopefully you’ll be back from your shitty hometown to catch *Shearing Pinx, Cheerleader Camp *and White Lung at Pub 340 on the 28th, because that seems ideal.

Cheerleader Camp hits it again on the 30th with the Defektors at Pat’s.

And that night Blim will have *Action Vacuum*–some improvised electroacoustic stuff with limited seating.

Don’t ask me what to do on New Year’s Eve. Last year I walking for miles in bad stilettos looking for bus.

There are tons of rad Fake Jazzes at the Cobalt in January, including the spectacular metally-noise ladies from San Diego, Duchesses on the 10th.

If reading that many listings packed into one tiny column hasn’t left you out of breath, maybe the Polysics and Fun 100 show at the Plaza January 26 will manic you into an asthma attack.
