MUSIC
Holy crap, have you heard Blitzen Trapper? Ridiculous! Just when you thought music was completely done, these guys come and punch you in the eardrum. Listening to them is like being at the drive-in on a hot summer night in the ’70s and also hanging out with Lynyrd Skynyrd. Plus, they have Stephen Malkmus’s seal of approval, so you have to like them too or everyone is going to know.

It’s getting to the point where you can’t even go downtown without being bombarded with house music every night and at every club. House music is like cheese sandwiches; everybody loves them. But if you eat cheese sandwiches every day, you’re going to get scurvy. Try a damn ham sandwich.

Dear Metric,
Shouldn’t you have to release new music at some point in order to keep touring? Seriously, you’ve been here roughly nine times since your last album and that was only a bunch of old songs that everybody already knew about. How about if you go home, record some new stuff and then we’ll talk. Otherwise grow up and blow away.
