This is the most wrong thing ever done to music…Like they were:

“Hey, you know that funky song, Billie Jean by Michael Jackson?”

“Yeah, it’s a total classic.”

“Well you know what we could do to make it our own? Reverse psycologize it and totally make it the most unfunky, unlistenable song ever.”

“Hey great idea Chris.”
