About this tick thing: I’ve been internetting all day, and have found zero proof that ticks have ever expressed a preference for butts over any other part of the body – at least in people. In dogs, sometimes ticks apparently prefer butts. But in people? Uncommon. And yet I have had two ticks, one in each butt cheek, in the span of less than a month. That is maybe an anomaly. Some friends have suggested that ticks might be drawn to more fleshy areas of the body, but then those same friends have remembered that my ankles are actually more fleshy than my butt. It’s a mystery.
