They held a rally in Chicago’s Dalay Plaza today, the eve of the Cub’s run to the World Series. The scene wasn’t exactly electric. Noticably absent was die hard Cub fan, Bill Murray. As well as side-kick and voice of the Cub’s, former player Ron Santo, who I presume was there but didn’t make it to the podium because he hasn’t any legs.

James Belushi choked back tears and then let confetti fly into the wind of Chicago, peppering the fans with the spice of victory that has eluded them for 100 years.

I’ll be reporting on the NLDS between the Chicago Cubs and LA Dodgers as it unfolds, the action begins tomorrow, along with my excellent coverage.
