So there’s a bit in an Eddie Izzard routine where he’s talking about how he was doing his routine in France, entirely in French and he came to the part where he does a Sean Connery impersonation and the audience just looked at him blankly. Then he realized. Of course. They don’t get the joke because when they watch a movie with Sean Connery in it, his voice is dubbed into French, by a French actor. But the question is: Are there specific voice actors for specific international actors? Like is there a go to Johnny Depp voice guy who gets all the Johnny Depp jobs? ‘cause one could make a decent living with that gig I’d suspect.
